1. About these Terms
By accessing this website and member portal (together, the “Site”), you agree to these Terms. “We/our/us” means the Asbestos & Hazardous-Materials Consultants Association (AHCA).
2. Information on this Site (no professional advice)
Content is provided for general information only. While we aim to keep it accurate and current, we make no representation or warranty as to completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability. You should obtain independent professional advice before relying on any information.
3. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AHCA and its office holders, members, contractors and volunteers are not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss, lost data or profits) arising from or in connection with use of this Site.
4. Security & availability
We use reasonable measures to protect the Site but cannot guarantee security, authenticity or uninterrupted access. Internet communications can be intercepted; you are responsible for your own anti-virus and security protections.
5. Third-party links & services
The Site may link to third-party websites or services (e.g., GlueUp, Stripe, LinkedIn). We do not control or endorse third-party content and are not responsible for their availability, security or policies. Use them at your own risk and review their terms and privacy policies.
6. Intellectual property
Except where noted otherwise, content on the Site is © AHCA. You may view the Site in a browser and print/save reasonable excerpts for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use (reproduction, modification, republication, distribution, display or performance) requires our prior written consent. Logos and trademarks on the Site may be registered or protected; no licence is granted.
7. User submissions
If you submit content (e.g., event questions, directory details), you grant AHCA a non-exclusive licence to use that content for association purposes (publishing, editing for clarity/length, and backups), and you warrant you have the right to provide it.
8. Events — registrations, cancellations & refunds
- Registrations & payment. Managed in GlueUp; payments processed by our provider (currently Stripe). AHCA does not store card details.
- Cancellations by you. Full refund up to 7 calendar days before start. After that, refunds aren’t guaranteed.
- Transfers. You may transfer a ticket to a colleague anytime before the event by emailing enquiries@ahca.org.au.
- No-shows. Non-refundable.
- Changes/cancellation by AHCA. If cancelled, we provide a full refund. If rescheduled or materially changed, you may refund or transfer.
- Refund method. Approved refunds return to the original payment method; processor/FX fees may be non-refundable under provider rules.
- Free events. Please cancel if you can’t attend.
- Force majeure. We may modify/postpone/cancel due to events beyond our control; we will act reasonably to offer a fair remedy.

10. Applicable law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts.

We may update the Site and these Terms at any time. The latest version will be posted at /terms.
